Wi-Fi coverage & network organization

Better coverage. A cleaner handoff.

Improving bedroom Wi-Fi, organizing an existing rack and giving the homeowner clear access to their system.

Network rack after cable organization and installation of a wall faceplate
After: organized rack connections and a finished wall connection.

The starting point

A homeowner on a large property with multiple structures and a shop was struggling with Wi-Fi in the primary bedroom. Our assessment also identified opportunities to improve equipment organization, network credentials and documentation.

What we changed

  1. Added an access point to improve coverage where the homeowner needed it.

  2. Reorganized the rack and cabling, and installed proper faceplates.

  3. Updated network credentials.

  4. Provided the homeowner with the information and access needed to understand and manage their system.

A look at the work

After: organized rack connections and a finished wall connection.

The result

The work addressed the coverage concern and left a cleaner, more accessible installation. The homeowner received a clear handoff of the system.

For homeowners planning a similar project

Good network work includes what happens after installation: organized equipment, appropriate credentials and a homeowner who knows how to access their own system.
